My name is Mark Slutsky. That is really my last name, translated from something like “Slocki” when my grandparents emigrated to Canada many years ago, presumably by a customs official with a sense of humour, or no sense of humour. I directed the short film Sorry, Rabbi and I co-wrote and co-produced the feature comedy Peepers, which is hopefully playing near you sometime soon. I am currently working on some other film projects too. I write, mostly about movies and food, for several paper publications, most recently for the Montreal Mirror, where I was the film editor until I left in early 2011 to concentrate on other stuff. I also do a bunch of other things. Take pictures. Cook. DJ. Stuff like that. You can reach me at eattothebeat AT gmail DOT com.
